A majority of our GYSC teams participate in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League.  Playing in CPYSL will consist of 8 league games in the fall and 7 games in the spring. Teams are required to travel to approximately 4 away games each season. The travel is relatively close, normally within a 30 to 60 minute driving distance. Our higher level teams compete in EDP League which requires a year round commitment with additional tournaments and training sessions. The EDP league also requires further travel to games which can be located in MD, VA, PA, NJ and DE.

During the soccer season our GYSC teams will practice twice a week with our professional trainers. All GYSC teams will participate in The Blue & Gray Cup and the Battlefield Blast Tournament. Tournaments fees are included in registration for Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club. 

All players are welcome to attend our GYSC Player Evaluations,  but must register prior to 4/22.

There is no cost to attend. During the evaluations you can expect the following:

•  All players are required to register prior to attending.

•  Players will be placed in the appropriate age groups.

• Numbered pinnies will be assigned players.

• Players are expected to wear shin guards and  cleats. Players should bring a water bottle and soccer ball.

• Only players and evaluators are allowed on the soccer fields during player evaluations. 

• Players will be evaluated by experienced and competent evaluators.

• Players will be notified within 2 weeks of tryouts on team placement. Any players who decline their team invitation are expected to reply back within 48 hours of receiving their invitation.

If your child is a goalkeeper, we offer goalkeeper training sessions once a week at no additional cost.
